Enterprise mobility
Stay ahead of the competition with our mobility tools: VoIP, SIP Trunking and Unified CommunicationsAn agile, mobile workforce – embrace the power of business mobility
Gone are the days where we were tied to our office desks to do our job. The internet age has revolutionised the way we work on many levels, meaning that many office-based jobs can now be done from any location, any time. There is an increasingly large variety of devices available to support mobile working, and companies with a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy even encourage staff to use their own equipment. Mobile solutions are particularly popular amongst sales agents in the field, engineers out on-site, home-workers, hot-deskers or staff on flexible contracts. The availability of ever more sophisticated mobile devices, such as smart phones, tablets and laptops has driven the rise of the mobile enterprise. The real enabler of mobility is, however, the technology available today: VoIP and other cloud-based communications, allowing users to access the same features and tools as their office-based colleagues, without needing to physically be at an office.
Your business can benefit from staff mobility in a number of ways:
Being scalable
Being flexible, and able to change how you work rapidly
Being more productive
Being more competitive
Stay up to date
What tools are available to support business mobility?
Most of today’s leading phone system manufacturers have rolled out a mobility solution that ties the main system to personal or business smart devices. Avaya has One-X, whereas Mitel has MiCollab. Both systems allow their users to stay connected to the central phone system, no matter where they are and what device they are using.
There are a number of communications solutions that can also help when it comes to moving to a mobile workforce:
Unified Communications (UC)
UC combines data, video and voice communication into a single solution, using a variety of devices, such as smart phones, tablets, laptops or desktop computers.
SIP Trunking
SIP allows you to set up multiple geographic numbers, routed to the same location. Non-Geographic numbering is also easily set up. This can be done for both desktop and mobile phones.
Hosted Telephony or Hosted VoIP
Hosted Telephony allows users to work from any location they choose, as long as it has a suitable internet connection. They can access all the tools that their office based colleagues have access to, including IM, Voicemail, Email and Video Conferencing. Our Hosted solution has a mobile application allowing you to access all features and tools while on the move.
