Junior Account Manager


Hybrid working in Romsey, home-based  and visiting client premises.

Reports to:

Head of Business Development  

Hours of work:

8.30am – 17.30pm Monday to Friday.

Summary of Position:

Solution IP are a leading Business Communication Specialist with nationwide coverage and offices in Bristol and Southampton. We are a telecoms MSP, specialising in broadband and data network products, whilst supporting other telecoms products such as telephone lines, hosted telephony and PBX’s. Summary of Position:

Drawing on a natural curiosity, the Junior Account Manager will develop a thorough understanding of the Client’s business and the industry, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, developing creative solutions and having the tenacity and determination to ensure they are delivered to realise benefits for both the Client and Solution IP.

To plan and execute sales activities in the UK, Maintain and develop sales of products and services in accordance with agreed business plan, processes and targets.

Primary Responsibilities

  • To establish, maintain and develop current and potential client relationships
  • To present and sell the company’s products and services to existing and potential clients whilst ensuring appropriate profit margins.
  • To respond to and follow up on sales enquiries, new leads and referrals
  • To manage allocated account base. Quickly and efficiently responding to client queries and concerns, whilst working closely with other team members to ensure delivery of excellent customer service.
  • To continuously develop new business opportunities via lead generation and effectively manage a sales pipeline.
  • To prepare presentations, proposals and quotations.
  • Identify problems impacting on customer satisfaction and to implement a prompt and effective resolution through the management of all necessary resource.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate customer and lead information on CRM and relevant systems.

Personal Specification


  • At least one years’ relevant work experience in a sales role. Evidence of achieving targets in a sales role.
  • Strong contract management, interpretation and negotiation skills, Well-organized, First class communication and presentation skills. Excellent PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills. Problem solving / continual improvement mentality. Good team player. Proven ability to establish, develop and nurture relationships and a willingness to socialise with the Client both during and outside of office hours.


  • Experience in telecoms industry


Strong organizational skills, Leadership skills, effective communicator on phone, in writing and in person and a team player.

Role details

Office-based minimum 2 days a week, home working and significant travel within UK.

£20k – £23k depending on experience. Increased to £22k – £25k after 6 month probation period. OTE £45k+ with uncapped commission plan & £300 car allowance
