SolutionIP donates phone system to local charity
The team at SolutionIP’s Southampton office have recently donated a Mitel Mivoice system with handsets to Jane Scarth House; the home of the Romsey Cancer Support Centre. The charity has recently been undertaking renovations to a property that is far more spacious and on one level- improving accessibility for volunteers and clients.
Two of Solution IP’s senior engineers oversaw the project, with Senior Technical Lead, Matt Davis, completing the installation on site. FTTC broadband was also installed so that the router could be set up for them on the same day as the phone system installation. This meant there was minimal disruption to work for the charity and they could move into their new centre and return to work as soon as possible
Jane Scarth House is a charity local to Solution IP’s Southampton Office. SolutionIP had noticed the hard work and dedication of the volunteers at the charity and wanted to help out in any way that they could. The charity, who work closely with anyone who’s lives have been affected by cancer, rely solely on charitable donations and the support of the local community to keep their services running. By providing a range of therapies, counselling and befriending, the volunteers can accommodate many people’s individual needs.
Jane Scarth House is an incredibly valued charity in the heart of Romsey, supporting many individuals and families in the town and the surrounding area. Having reliable support locally is a great comfort for those who are caring for a loved one or suffering from the disease themselves. All services are payment free and work on a walk-in basis.
The charity was opened in 1995 in memory of Jane Scarth; a Romsey resident, and since it’s opening, 22 years ago, the organisation has helped thousands in the local area.
