Service desk analyst

As a Service Desk Support Engineer you will be critical to the success of our business and the standard of our service. You will act as the first point of contact for Managed Service customers, specialising in broadband and data network products and supporting other core products such as telephone lines, hosted telephony and PBXs.

The role includes fault diagnostic and system queries, procurement of new lines and broadband, project implementation and continuous improvement of the business and its services. We use Connectwise as a ticket management system so any knowledge or experience with this system would be desirable.

You will have product knowledge of broadband and data networking (WAN/LAN) and be working towards Cisco CCNA Levels 1 – 4 qualifications.

Examples of the personal specification details include:

Essential– Educated to A-level or equivalent, being able to provide great customer service and have good experience in router and firewall administration.

Desirable– SIP school SSCA Certification, experience in a customer service environment and ability to take ownership of customer requests, queries and faults.

To be suitable for the role you will need to be an excellent communicator, well organised, methodical with a logical approach to problem solving and an eye for detail. You should be a team player who is focused on providing excellent customer service and business improvements.

Service Desk Team Leader

As a Service Desk Team Leader, you will be critical to success of our business and the standard of our service. You will lead our Service Desk team and proactively manage the workflow to achieve all business SLA’s. The Team are the first point of contact for Managed Service customers, specialising in broadband and data network products and supporting other core products such as telephone lines, hosted telephony and PBXs.

Using ConnectWise, the team’s duties include fault diagnostic and system queries, procurement of new lines and broadband, project implementation and continuous improvement of the business and its services. You will ensure the tickets are managed as efficiently and as effectively as possible to drive first contact resolution.

You will have product knowledge of broadband and data networking (WAN/LAN), working towards Cisco CCNA Levels 1 – 4 qualifications and experience of the following would be beneficial:

  • LAN knowledge,
  • Network Design and Implementation,
  • Routing and firewall administration.

To be suitable for the role you will have team leader experience, strong organisational and communication skills, be an excellent motivator and have a logical approach to problem solving. You should be driven by results, providing exceptional customer service, continuous improvement of the team and service desk alongside business development.
