The Company

We are a leading Business Communication Specialist with nationwide customers and offices in Bristol and Southampton. We provide managed services, specialising in broadband and data network products, whilst supporting other telecoms products such as telephone lines, hosted telephony and PBXs.

We are looking for a target driven, dynamic individual to join our energetic and forward thinking team. We have ambitious business forecasts and growth projections so we are keen for a individual to join us who wants to be part of our journey.

Summary of Position

The Account Manager will develop a thorough understanding of the Client’s business and the industry, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, developing creative solutions and having the tenacity and determination to ensure they are delivered to realise benefits for both the Client and Solution IP.

To plan and execute sales activities in the UK, Maintain and develop sales of products and services in accordance with agreed business plan, processes and targets.

Primary Responsibilities

  • To establish, maintain and develop current and potential client relationships.
  • To present and sell the company’s products and services to existing and potential clients whilst ensuring appropriate profit margins.
  • To prepare presentations, proposals and quotations.
  • To respond to and follow up on sales enquiries, new leads and referrals.
  • Identify problems impacting on customer satisfaction and to implement a prompt and effective resolution through the management of all necessary resource.
  • To manage allocated account base. Quickly and efficiently responding to client queries and concerns, whilst working closely with other team members to ensure delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate customer and lead information on CRM and relevant systems.

Personal Specification

  • Educated to Graduate Level
  • At least two years’ relevant work experience in a sales role. Evidence of achieving targets in a sales role. Experience in the telecoms industry is desirable.
  • Strong contract management, interpretation and negotiation skills.
  • Well-organized, first class communication and presentation skills.
  • Problem solving / continual improvement mentality.
  • Proven ability to establish, develop and nurture relationships and a willingness to socialise with the Client both during and outside of office hours.

The Position

The Business Development Manager will be expected to draw on natural curiosity to develop a thorough understanding of the Client’s business and the industry, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, developing creative solutions and having the tenacity and determination to ensure they are delivered to realise benefits for both the Client and Solution IP.

To plan and execute sales activities in the UK, Maintain and develop sales of products and services in accordance with agreed business plan, processes and targets.

  • To assist with the development and management of lead generation processes and effectively provide detailed reporting on these activities.

  • To strategically lead on allocated client base. Quickly and efficiently responding to client queries and concerns either directly or by coordinating members within the team
  • To present and sell the company’s products and services to existing and potential clients whilst ensuring appropriate profit margins. Prepare presentations, proposals and quotations
  • To position yourself as an effective product specialist leader and support others in the business on selling this products.To respond to and follow up on sales enquiries, new leads and referrals
